SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable
Sustainable Cities and Communities SDG: More than half of the world’s population now live in urban areas. By 2050, that figure will have risen to 6.5 billion people – two-thirds of all humanity. Sustainable development cannot be achieved without significantly transforming the way we build and manage our urban spaces. Extreme poverty is often concentrated in urban spaces, and national and city governments struggle to accommodate the rising population in these areas. Making cities safe and sustainable means ensuring access to safe and affordable housing, and upgrading…

More than 4 billion people still do not have access to the Internet, and 90 percent are from the developing world. Bridging this digital divide is crucial to ensure equal access to information and knowledge,…

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTS GOALS
1: WHAT ARE THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTS GOALS?
In September 2015, all 193 members of the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG 4: Quality Education
SDG 4: Quality Education
Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning
The Quality Education SDG: obtaining a quality education is the foundation to creating sustainable development. In addition to improving quality of life, access to inclusive education can help equip locals with the tools required to develop innovative solutions to the world’s greatest problems.
